My Drink Diary

Privacy Policy

Brain Bloom LLC (the “Company”) recognizes the importance of protecting personal information, complies with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws, and handles information appropriately in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Last updated: November 5, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the App “My Drink Diary” provided by the Company, its website and support contact.

2. Information Handling in the App and iCloud Sync

1. The App does not require user registration. Entries, photos, drink names, notes, places, amounts and other information entered by users are processed or stored on the device. The Company does not collect this content on its servers. Places are entered optionally; the App does not obtain your current location through GPS.

2. If the user enables iCloud sync, entries, photos, drinking guide settings and update/deletion information required for sync are sent to the private iCloud space (CloudKit) of the Apple Account in use to sync between devices using the same Apple Account. The Company does not provide a system for viewing these entries or photos through its administration dashboard. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies to Apple’s handling of information.

3. Users can stop sync in the App’s settings. Stopping sync does not delete on-device entries or data already saved in iCloud. The App’s iCloud data can be deleted through Settings → Sync → More options. This action does not delete entries on the device.

4. When a photo is selected or taken, a copy for the App is saved on the device. Photo and similar permissions can be changed in device settings. Widgets use display data and thumbnail photos saved in shared on-device storage.

5. When sharing or exporting a manual backup, selected photos, entries or settings are passed to the app or storage destination chosen by the user. Deleting photos in the App does not delete photo-library originals or exported files.

6. Section 3 explains information handled for in-app purchases. Section 6 explains advertising and external services.

3. In-App Purchases and RevenueCat

1. Payments for purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple Inc.’s payment system. The Company does not obtain or store users’ payment card numbers, bank account details or other payment method information.

2. The Company uses services provided by RevenueCat, Inc. to verify purchases, restore purchases, provide paid features and prevent misuse. Anonymous app user IDs generated by RevenueCat, device type and OS, purchase history, product IDs, subscription status, IP addresses and other information required for purchase processing are sent to and processed by RevenueCat.

3. The Company may view purchase history and subscription status associated with anonymous app user IDs through RevenueCat’s dashboard. Entries, photos, places and alcohol amounts are not sent to RevenueCat.

4. Please refer to Apple’s and RevenueCat’s respective privacy policies for their information handling practices.

4. Information Collected on This Website

The Company may collect the following information on this website:

1. Names, email addresses, questions, device information, app versions, screenshots and other information voluntarily provided through the contact form.

2. Information automatically collected using cookies and similar technologies, including IP addresses, browser and device types, pages viewed, referring pages, visit times and other website usage information.

5. Purposes of Use

The Company uses information obtained for the following purposes:

1. Verifying purchase status, restoring purchases and providing paid features.

2. Preventing purchase-related misuse and analyzing purchase activity.

3. Responding to inquiries and providing necessary communications.

4. Understanding website usage and improving its content and usability.

5. Preventing unauthorized access and misuse and maintaining the safety of the App and website.

6. Responding under applicable law or this Privacy Policy.

7. Delivering and measuring ads in the free plan and preventing advertising-related misuse.

6. Analytics and External Services

1. The Company uses RevenueCat for in-app purchase management and Apple’s CloudKit for iCloud sync. Sections 2 and 3 and each provider’s privacy policy explain the related information handling.

2. The free plan displays non-personalized Google AdMob banner ads. Google may process IP addresses, approximate locations derived from IP addresses, device and app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, usage and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and related purposes. Entries, photos, places and alcohol amounts are not included in ad requests. Users can change choices through consent screens shown where applicable and the App’s advertising privacy settings.

3. The Company uses Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand use of this website. Website usage information may be sent to those providers through cookies and similar technologies. These website analytics services are not used inside the App.

4. The contact form uses Google Forms. Please refer to each provider’s privacy policy for its information handling practices.

5. Users can disable cookies in their browser settings. Some website features may then stop working properly.

7. Third-Party Disclosure and Service Providers

1. The Company does not disclose personal information to third parties without consent, except where permitted by law.

2. The Company may entrust the handling of personal information to external providers to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes in Section 5. The Company selects providers appropriately and exercises necessary and appropriate supervision.

3. Using external services may involve processing information outside Japan. Each provider’s privacy policy applies to its information handling.

8. Security and Retention

The Company takes necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent leakage, loss or damage of information obtained. Information is retained only as long as needed to achieve its purpose and is appropriately deleted when no longer required.

Users can delete on-device entries and photos. When iCloud sync is enabled, deletion is reflected on other devices after sync completes. Deleting the App alone does not delete iCloud data, exported files or purchase records. Retention of information held by external services follows each provider’s policy.

9. Disclosure, Correction, Deletion and Restriction

To request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion or restriction of use of personal information held by the Company, please use the contact in Section 11. The Company will confirm that the request is from the person concerned and respond in accordance with applicable law.

The Company cannot retrieve or restore entries or photos it does not hold on your device or in your private iCloud space.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Company may change this Privacy Policy as needed due to changes in law, the App, this website or other circumstances. Changes will be announced on this website or through another appropriate method.
